The study brought together wildlife-vehicle crash data, wildlife movement data, habitat maps, threatened species locations and habitat, and other factors to identify the top Arizona roads where wildlife-vehicle conflict occurs and there is a high potential for additional conflict. Maps produced showed the top road segments where wildlife need to be accommodated to reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions and provide connectivity across highways.
