About Us

Our Mission

Our mission is to help protect and restore wildlife connectivity in North America and across the world through research, education, and outreach opportunities.

Our board of directors, team members, partners, and colleagues work with us to conduct research on wildlife with respect to their movements, roads and wildlife crossing structures, and how to include wildlife considerations in planning processes.

Our goal is to protect wildlife and drivers from wildlife-vehicle collisions, create more wildlife crossing structures and other transportation mitigation, conserve land for wildlife use, and educate the public and agencies on how wildlife need to move.

Testimonials for Dr. Cramer, Our Director

“I regard you (P. Cramer) as one of the top people in this field and I learn so much from you every time I have the opportunity to participate on one of your projects. On the New Mexico Corridors Team, I learned from your ability to respectfully moderate the team, keep us on task and moving forward, and provide your perspective to guide us to concrete solutions that NM can implement. You're an inspiration.”

Chad Loberger, Arizona Game and Fish

“Patty is at the top of her field.”

John Bissonnette, Professor Emeritus Utah State University

“Dr. Cramer has advanced the scientific study of wildlife crossing structures and advocates for landscape connectivity in North America, (these) crossings are essential for establishing wildlife corridors between areas of fragmented habitat.”
